Fleet

CARWIZ offers a wide selection of vehicles in Croatia, ranging from small economy cars such as the Toyota Yaris to premium models including the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and E-Class. Its SUV range is particularly extensive, with models such as the Renault Captur and Mercedes-Benz GLC appearing in its current fleet. Hybrid options are also available, including the Fiat 500 Hybrid and Cupra Formentor Hybrid, although current Croatian fleet listings do not show a fully electric model.

In our testing, Carwiz was moderately priced compared with other rental companies operating at the airport, although cheaper options are available. One drawback is the relatively high security deposit, which may disappoint travellers looking to keep upfront costs to a minimum.

Overall, Carwiz receives good feedback from customers, with strong ratings across its main airport locations. At Dubrovnik Airport, Carwiz has an overall rating of 7.6, scoring highest for directions to the rental counter at 8.1 and lowest for value for money at 6.8.

We did, however, find a small number of complaints relating to the relatively high security deposit, particularly in cases where the required amount could not be authorised on the customer’s credit card and additional premium insurance had to be purchased.
